A pleasant and simple movie which, except for a few overly sentimental moments, manages to
hold your interest.
Prashant is the son of a rich industrialist and its love at first sight for him when he runs
into Simran at the Coimbatore railway station. He moves to Madras and after running into her
again, follows her doggedly. Meanwhile, at college, he first spars and then becomes good friends
with his senior Karan.
Its only after Simran reciprocates his love that he learns that she is Karan's sister and that
Karan's family has earlier undergone the shame of his other sister eloping with one of his
friends. So Prashanth and Simran decide to give up their love - he for friendship and she for
her family. How they do it and how the brother reacts when he get to know about their romance
forms the rest of the movie.
Prashanth and a very pretty Simran perform their roles adequately. Vivek and gang enjoy a nice comedy
track. Barring two dappaanguthu numbers, Deva has come up with a good album with Kanave
Kalayaadhe..., Chinna Chinna Kiliye..., Chandhaa O Chandhaa... and
Eeswaraa... all being great songs.
