Sriram(Bala) and Indu(Sharmi) are classmates who barely even know each other. But starting with a friend passing off a birthday gift for Indu as a gift from Sriram, the two are caught in a series of situations that force Indu's father Karunakharan('Kalabhavan' Mani) to suspect that they are in love.

The one-line story is definitely difficult to translate to a two and a half hour movie. With the only things happening being a series of incidents where Bala and Sharmi are inadvertently caught together, P.Vasu's only option was to provide interesting characters and create an interesting scenario for the results of the suspicions on the couple. He unfortunately fails on both fronts. The movie's characters are either boring or predictable and the story itself goes nowhere. The entire movie is simply about the suspected relationship between the lead pair.

Our filmmakers seem to believe that merely having the film take place in a foreign location is attractive enough and that no more attention needs to be paid to aspects like story or screenplay. As in Junior Senior, this movie too takes place entirely in Malaysia. But there seems to be no particular reason for basing the movie there. The happenings could just have easily taken place in any college in TamilNadu with no modification of any part of the story. Neither are we treated to any exotic sights in Malaysia. The only way the movie uses the location is in the comedy track which has Vivek suffer at the hands of the Malaysian Police.

Vasu has an interesting concept on hand but has not stuck to it till the end. He introduces some romance and an ill-advised duet towards the end. Neither of these serve any purpose other than to pad the running length. The climax itself involves the usual change of heart that is totally unconvincing since there are no new happenings that induce it.

Bala dances and fights energetically but Sharmi struggles inspite of not having much to do. She overdoes most of the actions and expressions and comes off looking more like a mentally retarded person than someone afraid of her father. 'Kalabhavan' Mani growls and snarls but struggles because of the poor characterization. He is essentially not a good person but at the same time, he is not the villain either. Vivek chalks up another failed comedy track while P.Vasu makes an appearance as a police inspector with an axe to grind against Bala.
